10 Best Video Games Of January 2022 (According To Critics)
10. Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Extraction (PS5)
Rainbow Six Siege has become an incredibly popular tactical shooter, which has been incredibly supported by developer Ubisoft since it's original release in 2015 with a vast array of new maps, operators and modes.
Many of us Siege fans were delighted to learn that a sci-fi spin off title was in development, when it was announced during E3 2019 under the title Rainbow Six Quarantine.
Like many games during this period, it suffered significant delays and we were left waiting until January of this year when we finally got our hands on the co-operative, alien busting tactical shooter. Teaming up with up to two friends, you find yourself infiltrating various infested facilities, performing set objectives with new and returning operators.
The game launched day one on Xbox game pass for PC and console as well as PlayStation and Stadia platforms to mixed reviews among critics and fans alike, with many feeling like the game could have just been an expansion to R6 Siege rather than a standalone experience.
The highest rated version of the game is sitting at a 74 critic rating on Metacritic, despite an underwhelming 5.5/10 through the user score.
