10 Best WWE Video Game Storylines (They Need To Do In Real Life)

6. Going After The Giants (Smackdown vs. Raw 2007)

In fairness to WWE, they did try something along these lines with the Nexus, but didn't really pull the trigger on Wade Barrett and company. It all started so perfectly, with the group pasting the hell out of John Cena and destroying an episode of Monday Night Raw, but come Summerslam 2010 just a few months later, the unit looked fragile. During the story mode of Smackdown vs. Raw 2007, it's possible to form a stable of mid-card talent that has a grand plan, one to target the physically huge in WWE, such as The Big Show, Kane and The Undertaker, trying to make a name for themselves at the expense of the giants. It's an interesting concept. A lot of fans have been complaining about the screen time afforded to plodding behemoths such as Kane and Big Show, so this would free them up to get involved in a mid-card angle which could actually have some positive impact going forward on the company. It could be a cool way to debut a few wrestlers from NXT, for example.
