8. Death Stranding Is Still VERY Early In Development

Another "Yes, it looks stunning, but where's the really big takeaway?" moment, Death Stranding looked brilliant in-motion, and props to Kojima Productions for being able to render even what we're seeing in such a short amount of time, but it's hard to ignore just how little there was gameplay-wise.

KojiPro basically had main man Sam journeying across a number of supremely slick-looking environments, carrying a number of boxes behind him and on his back. One of these turned into a makeshift rifle... that wasn't used.

Snake Eater-like survival/surgery elements seem to be a part of exploration as Sam was forced to remove an entire toenail, but outside of the mysterious story - whose appeal can stay shrouded in vagueries for the better - it would benefit Sony and consumers alike to actually know what kind of game this is.
