10 Cancelled Video Games You Wish You Could Play

10. Tekken X Street Fighter

In the 2010s, the prospect of bringing together Street Fighter and Tekken seemed like a treat. Two beloved fighting games uniting sounded like a great game which made it surprising when it was announced that there would be two titles under this crossover.

The first was the 2012 game Street Fighter X Tekken. Developed by Capcom, the title was closer to Street Fighter IV with its 2.5D gameplay and art style.

Its counterpart, then, would have been Tekken X Street Fighter, with 3D fighting gameplay and more realistic graphics like the Tekken series, while being developed by Bandai Namco.

The crossover had 4 announced fighters, with Ryu and Evil Ryu on the Street Fighter side and Jin Kazama and Devil for Tekken's. Had the game been released, it was likely that fans would be able to see other World Warriors such as Chun Li and Guile duke it out in the third dimension.

Sadly, series producer Katsuhiro Harada said that the game was put on hold in 2016, and with the release of newer entries in the Tekken franchise, the future of this game seems doubtful. For fans who wanted to see how the crossover would have gone, Akuma's guest spot in Tekken 7 showed how the Street Fighter cast would have played in the 3D plane.
