10. Totodile

To start this list is a cute little crocodile that you get to choose at the start of one of your adventures in Johto.

Sure, he isn’t one of the most popular of the starter Pokémon, but when it comes to training this little fella and growing with him as a trainer it definitely does feel awesome, especially when he grows into the intimidating Feraligatr.

When you choose Totodile, you know that those water/fighting type moves are going to get you all the way to the Elite Four and beyond… just don’t underestimate those darn grass types!
