The Animal Kingdom games are all about becoming a part of the neighbourhood that your character inhabits, building relationships with the other animals and essentially creating a community of virtual friends that you can visit whenever you want...

Alternatively, you can run around acting like a bit of a dingleberry, torture the various inhabitants of your village and make their lives an utter misery even though the majority of them simply want to be your friend.

There are many little things you can do to the poor animal inhabitants of Animal Crossing. Why not dig hidden pits for them to fall into, or talking to them over and over again simply to annoy them?

You can even go around whacking them on the head with a net or an axe as a show of aggression, something that'll often lead to the victim becoming visibly depressed about the whole situation.

Its needless cruelty for the sake of it in a game where the aim is to foster peaceful and healthy relationships. Seeing your former animal friend crying and practically begging you to stop in some cases is almost heartbreaking (but not really).
