10 Easy Ways To Get Impossible Video Game Trophies
Work smarter, not harder.
In an age when getting all the achievements for a game is the only way you can feel you've truly seen everything there is to see, it's all too easy to give up the minute you see a borderline impossible one.
Everybody likes to test themselves, but there certainly comes a point in every player's life where they have to weigh up if spending countless hours doing petty tasks is worth it for that one solitary trophy that seems explicitly made to make your life harder.
While some love the challenge, others go another route to get more taxing achievements, by instead finding ways around the task at hand. Often this involves more or less cheating, by exploiting game mechanics or certain items - but not always.
It's not the most "legit" way to get these trophies, sure, but unless you're using an aimbot in a multiplayer game, you're not exactly ruining anybody's life, just using some unusual tactics to get what you want.
With countless internet forums and discussions centred around the easiest way to accomplish these feats, rest assured that a nefarious brethren are hoping for your success - and for you to let them know any other strats.
10. Zombie Chopper - Half Life 2
In theory, Zombie Chopper doesn't sound like a difficult achievement. It dictates you need to get through Ravenholm by only using the Gravity Gun, and anyone who's played through this level no doubt remembers all the traps and items you can throw at your enemies.
Only, once you get onto the roofs, these helpful pieces of detritus basically vanish, leaving you to parkour a desperate path away from your bloodthirsty foes for half of the whole level.
However, this can be gotten around with a little sharp thinking, and the frustration from trying the level like five times and getting your face eaten in each one.
The best method fans have developed for this is to carry Dog's Ball through the entire level. Not only can this distract enemies from you when fired, it can also attract all nearby enemies towards it, meaning that you can launch it into a room, clear up what would have been a series of sneak attacks, and then grab the ball to leg it your way through the next portion of the stage.
