10 Exciting 2018 Video Games Nobody Is Talking About

10. Mega Man 11

While many are still recovering from Mighty No. 9, Mega Man 11 is primed and ready to take a trip back to the series' glory days.

In terms of any new additions to gameplay with MM11, there's a new Gears system where you can, at any time, switch between Speed and Power Gears to give you an edge during combat. The Speed Gear slows down time and the Power Gear gives your blaster a much needed boost. Both use the same meter however, and it can deplete pretty fast, so use wisely. And they're not just for combat enhancements, as they will sometimes be necessary to get through a particular puzzle or section.

The game is an old soul with its mechanics, but it avoids being dated thanks to needed enhancements spread across every gameplay component. With the focus being to improve the formula rather than change it, it's a title that old and new fans can enjoy without alienating either side. And with veteran developer and long-time Capcom employee Koji Oda in charge, the project's in reliable hands.

Mega Man 11 comes out October 2nd for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
