Well, stats, for one. The ESA uncovered that despite Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo's efforts to sway you into buying a dedicated console, PC still owns the majority share of the marketplace.

Following PC's 56%, consoles have 53%, smartphone takes 36%, wireless devices such as Amazon Kindle or iPad are 31%, and 'dedicated handhelds' such as 3DS, PSP Vita take just 17%.

Is it inevitable that we all end up with 'dedicated gaming PCs' in the end?
