10 Forgotten Horror Game Franchises That NEED A Reboot

3. Dino Crisis

You definitely saw this one coming. Perhaps the most heavily requested game for Capcom to give the remake treatment, Dino Crisis is a bonafide cult classics that's bursting with potential if realised on modern gaming hardware.

For the uninitiated, Dino Crisis is the sister-series to Resident Evil, swapping out the zombies and bio-weapons for prehistoric nasties whose favourite food is scared humans. It featured all the explorative, puzzle-solving gameplay of Resi but favoured panic-inducing chase sequences that span multiple rooms and a fairly revolutionary bleeding-out mechanic that allowed dinosaurs to track you down if you didn't find a way to stem the blood flow.

The groundwork is there for a new iteration that could see its core gameplay elements cranked-up to terrifying new heights, as well as offer up plenty of new species of dinosaurs to keep players on their toes throughout the lengthy campaign.

Mostly forgotten within the mainstream but this cult-favourite's dedicated fan-base has kept the flames alive for almost two-decades now with numerous fan-made projects and Unreal Engine remakes teasing the possibilities of what could be done with a ground-up remake.
