Pokemon has a whole load of mini-games and other little experiences to sink your teeth into. The Pokeathlon, all the mini-games in Pokemon Stadium and a whole host of others. But when it comes to the one you should play out of all of them, Voltorb Flip takes the cake.

Hidden in the Celadon and Goldenrod game corners in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Voltorb Flip is easily the most addicting game put into a Pokemon game. The player is presented a 5x5 game board with numbers along each row and column detailing how many coins there are on offer and how many hidden Voltorbs are in that specific row of column.

You must then collect all the coins while avoiding Voltorbs by cross-referencing each of the numbers to find the safe squares and it is enthralling.

Learning the strategy and getting into the higher stakes games can be exhilarating as you try to figure out which squares are safe, doing mental maths to try and clear the board. A simple premise, but when you get into it, it can be a tense and frustrating time.

Not to mention that it can all be worthwhile as you can earn enough coins to buy a Dratini, one of the best Pokemon if you can carry it to the late game.
