10 Gaming Villains We Secretly Wanted To Beat Us

6. Joker (Batman: Arkham Series)

The Joker is the antithesis of Batman in practically every way €“ this is why he is unanimously thought of as The Bat€™s main nemesis. Where Batman€™s shoulders are as wide as a London bus, Joker is very slight. Where Batman loves black attire (or grey in Ben Affleck€™s case), Joker drapes himself in garish, flamboyant colour, and where Batman is the quiet, stoic type, The Joker is rarely ever silent. Especially since his (apparent) demise in Batman: Arkham City, sympathy toward Gotham€™s clown prince of crime has burgeoned. At times it would be nice to see some more humour or better still a flash of emotion from Batman. We get it Bruce €“ you€™re as tough as they come, but no need to be so robotic all the time. Though Joker is unpredictable, erratic and deeply-evil, he often seemed far more human than the Caped Crusader when we saw him in Rocksteady€™s superb Arkham series. This is why the gaming community is crossing its fingers that Joker makes a reappearance in Rocksteady€™s final entry into their Batman series, Arkham Knight.
