10 GREAT Nintendo Switch Games You Can Buy For Under £20
10. Subsurface Circular - £4.79
At just shy of £5, Subsurface Circular is a steal. Admittedly it is a rather unique game however, as it's essentially a conversation simulator starring intelligent androids on a train.
Subsurface Circular was developed by Bithell Games, the studio named after its founder, one of the industry's most unique and innovative designers, Mike Bithell. The British developer gained fame in 2012 when he released Thomas Was Alone, an award-winning game he designed, appropriately enough, alone.
Bithell eventually released a second, albeit very different game, called Volume. While Thomas Was Alone was a simple 2D platformer starring a literal square, Volume was a 3D stealth game, inspired by Metal Gear Solid's training simulations.
The third full game from Bithell truly cemented him as one of the industry's most interesting developers, one who was willing to try anything. Subsurface Circular released in 2017 and has an impressive 10/10 on Steam, out of 799 reviews! It's is a very short game with no traditional gameplay; it's essentially a text-adventure with great graphics and a noir-detective story. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, it's a great (and cheap way to kill a few hours!
