Batman: The Video Game on the NES was loosely (by loosely, I mean, almost not at all) based upon the 1989 film of the same name.

Narrative, however, is not the focal point of this game, simply being Batman is. Considered by many to the first superhero game where you actually felt like you were the superhero you were controlling, Batman: TVG was ground-breaking for its time. With a wide array gadgets at your disposal and a slick wall jump to keep enemies guessing, everything about this game screamed, "I'm Batman".

Still enjoyable today, Batman on the NES is undoubtedly one of the best superhero games of all time.
