Going up against the walking Hideo Kojima-parodying/tributing Senator Armstrong across a multi-stage fight that eventually ends in a one-on-one with his most powerful form, MGSR is loaded with a couple of annoyances that auto-kill you if they trigger.

The first is if the fight goes on too long - past the 2:30 minute mark - you'll get a cutscene death. The second is that actually beating Armstrong requires triggering a series of cutscenes for additional parts of the fight, but even they don't activate unless you get hit by a certain animation, but that's only when the Senator's health is at a specific level.
