Ghost Recon Wildlands was originally released in March 2017, but Ubisoft continued to support the game with DLC content packs, the final one being Operation Oracle, which landed on May 2 of this year.

The very same day, YouTuber coreross discovered a bizarrely specific Easter egg, with company Skell Technology inviting the player to join them for "Skell Con" a week later, with a specific time set for the show.

Lo and behold, this turned out to be the precise date and time that Ubisoft announced the sequel to Wildlands, Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Furthermore, the character of Cole D. Walker, who was introduced in Operation Oracle as played by Jon Bernthal, turned out to be Breakpoint's antagonist. Clever.

Sadly Breakpoint ended up being a far cry from the solid multiplayer shooter thrills of Wildlands, so that clever hint was ultimately in service of a whole lotta nothing.
