This is by no means an issue with every Xbox One unit, but there is a troublingly large amount of reports online of Xbox One consoles having a strange rattling noise coming from within. Bizarrely, the noise disappears when a game loads up, but recurs while in the Dashboard. Microsoft seem to have the good sense of replacing affected consoles, as long as players report it within the warranty period. The fact that the issue is persisting even with brand new consoles is worrying though, with many users reporting having the problem across two or three consecutive replacements. Presumably, the issue lies with the internal fan catching on something, suggesting that there may be an issue with certain parts being easily dislodged during transportation or otherwise.
