10. The Gohma Trick (Legend Of Zelda)

Gohma, the spider-like boss waiting for Link at the end of Level 6 in the original Legend of Zelda, is a tough cookie, quite literally: his impenetrable shell is capable of repelling any of your weapons.

As any Zelda fan will already know, his weakness is his oversized eye, hence why he keeps it closed for much of the battle. This can be frustrating as players must wait for the opportune moment to strike, but there's a quick and easy way to dispatch Gohma that you might not know about.

If you enter the villain's chamber with the bow equipped and ready, it's possible to take him down with one shot, but you have to be fast. Unleashing an arrow the moment you enter the room should do the trick.

During the first quest, Gohma later crops up as a mini-boss in Level 8, and takes on the same role in Levels 5 and Level 7 of the second quest, but you'll have to kill him the old-fashioned way on those occasions, as this trick only works the first time.
