4. Spyro The Dragon

Just look at him... the original 1998 version a loveably cute little rapscallion the likes of which you wanted to see succeed in anything he does - whilst the version in Skylanders (the only place you'll find Spyro now) looks like some six year-old watched The Lord of the Rings and busted out the Crayolas.

Despite what anyone says, consoles really do need mascots, and it's a crying shame to see someone as iconic as Spyro get dealt such a duff, consumer-tested hand as this.
