10 Lost Video Game Characters You Didn't Realise Came Back
10. Travis Grady In Silent Hill Homecoming
Travis Grady might be one of the most frequently-returning (and yet, overlooked) characters in the Silent Hill franchise.
A lorry driver with all the luck of a diabetic winning a lifetime’s supply of candyfloss, Travis is the reluctant protagonist of the first game in the Silent Hill timeline, Silent Hill Origins. Whilst making a delivery to the nearby town of Brahms, Travis decides to shave off some time by taking a shortcut through Silent Hill (which is a bit like saving money on gloves by cutting your hands off), and gets embroiled in... well, a whole bunch of Freud-shocking Silent Hilly things.
He unwittingly helps a tortured Alessa (the conduit for Silent Hill’s evil) and saving her from death (making him one of the few people she has actively allowed to leave the town).
Travis appeared in Silent Hill Homecoming as the man who would drive Alex Shepherd to Shepherd’s Glen, and later, in the movie Silent Hill Revelations where he helped Heather Mason by giving her a ride from the area, remarking “I’ve not... been out this way in a long time”, and chalking meetings up to fate due to his reluctance in visiting the town.
Mate, just... get a bloody admin job.
