Could there really have been anything else at number one? The Last of Us is a game that emerged from the last generation of consoles, but its remastered version is still the best game available on the PlayStation 4. Having a remastered PlayStation 3 title at the top of this list might sound like an insult to the PS4's library, this isn't the case at all. Rather, The Last of Us is such a masterpiece that it's incredibly difficult to top. In particular, the story is one of gaming's best, while the snappy gameplay is still great when compared to proper current-gen releases. That said, it's getting to the point where we can't wait for The Last of Us to finally be vanquished of its crown. Next year looks filled to the brim with exciting next-gen releases, and it'll be incredibly exciting to see just how developers can top this truly remarkable game.
