10. Biomutant

Rocket Raccoon, The Video Game or more formally known as Biomutant, is an open-world RPG in which you play as a little cat, raccoon, animal-thing. Mutated and ready for all sorts of customisation, the little fella has the potential for a whole host of attacks, movement and abilities.

For example, the main focus of combat is a martial art, kung fu style that is heavily inspired by the quick, impactful movements found in comic books or animated shows. You can learn new styles from different masters and stray in combat paths as you please but the player choice doesn’t end there.

According to showings of the game, your character build will be important from the very beginning. The overall feel of your little guy will be dependent on their size, strength, agility, intelligence, etc. If they’re buff as hell, they’ll be better suited for heavy melee weapons but likely much slower. If they’re agile, they’ll be quicker and maybe shorter, choosing lighter weapons.

Intelligence also plays a part in regard to social aspects found throughout this large and colourful world. Beyond the craziness of playing a small furry protagonist, Biomutant seems to be taking itself very seriously in regard to levelling, skills and consequences of player choice.
