10 Most Engaging Skyrim NPCs
10. Sheogorath
The Daedric Prince of Madness has appeared in multiple Elder Scrolls titles, but the encounter players have with him in Skyrim is particularly strange. The Dragonborn comes across Sheogorath after entering a room in the Pelagius Wing of the Blue Palace, located in Solitude. What follows is both entertaining and irritating.
When the player first meets Sheogorath, he is seen talking to Pelagius III at a banquet table (inside of Pelagius III's mind, no less). Everything that comes out of the Daedra's mouth is utter nonsense and often quite laughable. It's certainly the most unhinged encounter within the entire game, and can leave players with their jaws dropped in disbelief at how absolutely insane Sheogorath is.
Gamers would be forgiven for thinking they had slipped into a bad dream, or a good one, depending on how much an individual enjoys interacting with a shouting, erratic, oddly dressed immortal being. One thing is for sure: despite having a limited interaction with the player, Sheogorath makes an unforgettable impression.
