10 Most Morally Bankrupt Things You’ve Ever Done In Video Games
Why is it always so much fun to kill innocent people?
Out here in the real world, youre a kind, thoughtful individual. Who knows, you probably have a lovely group of friends who you meet and share laughs over a cheese platter with - all whilst altruistically giving money to sick children, sometimes without even realising it. At work youre the life of the office; the dependable, shining light that brings hope to the most miserable of days. But let's be honest, as soon as you pick up that controller you reveal a heart of darkness so hollow, so depraved, even Satan - sickened by your actions, no less - would recognise youve got issues and quit the business of pure evil to start a help group for the criminally insane. It doesnt matter who you are or where you come from - inside a game you're free of the consequences of the actions that otherwise bind your twisted soul. Whether its gun in-hand or a lustful intent, you have drank heavily from the cup of depravity, and in-game you are a God where morals are a concern for mortals. Gaming gives you freedom; it is the only medium that will allow you to actively murder, steal, or even pick who lives and who dies without consequence. The developers, it would seem, understand that gamers love choice, and that many of them would rather kill someone on a whim because they don't like them, than let them go free - or dabble in a life that, in the real world, would be a step too far. All that said, what are the most monstrous things you've done in video games?
