10. Great Scythe

The Great Scythe is a non-traditional weapon that has often caused heated debates amongst Dark Souls players, with some once labelling it the best dexterity weapon you could pick up, and others shouting this down for a range of others. I would argue the Great Scythe remains a solid choice for any player.

Acquirable very early on from The Catacombs, the Great Scythe is a long shaft with a wicked-sharp sickle blade attached at the top, and it offers players a unique play-style and move set.

If you learn how to work with the rhythm of attack when using the Great Scythe most effectively, skilled players will make very short work out of any enemies they come into contact with. Just don't whiff, as the Great Scythe acts as a halberd so you'll be left wide open on a missed attack.
