Playing in either single or two player (locally, of course), you assemble an army form a variety of faction types (even dogs!) before setting out to win, one square of turf at a time. If you've played XCOM, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics etc., you'll know the basics, but the addition of resources to bolster your ranks (meaning that the longer a match goes on, the bigger the army becomes), wagons to traverse great distances and buildings to claim keep things dynamic and ever-changing.

Best of all is clearly going to be whipping this out to have a quick game with a friend, as while we wait for someone to devise a two player game where both Joy-Cons stay attached (treating the Switch like an air hockey table), this looks like the next best thing.
