9. The Crossbow - Stranger's Wrath
The humble crossbow might not at first appear to be anything out of the ordinary when it comes to ridiculous video game weapons, but then again, as you might expect from any video game from the Oddworld series, things aren't always what they seem.
For instance, the crossbow that you can use in Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is one that makes this list not because of it's design, but because of what it fires, and that's LIVE Ammo.
Yes that's right, each and every "bullet" you fire from The Stranger's arm-based bow is a living creature, which weirdly sits there in the device, waiting to be unleashed on your target.
The creatures range from electrifying Zappfly's to my personal favourite The Chippunk; a little bug-eyed rodent that lures people in by chatting absolute rubbish, allowing you to set up traps for them.
The best thing is, this little fella and all the others can be upgraded with little devices to make them even more deadly (and in the process gets a whole lot weirder).
