10. Resogun

Resogun was made for the gamers that really enjoy arcade style game play. A tough yet fair title, it offers some of the most addictive game play ever seen in the arcade genre.

Resogun gives the player a cylindrical arena to battle on. The ship that the user controls can only shoot left and right, which is intimidating as obstacles come flying at the player from all angles. One touch and your ship will explode leaving very little room for error. Luckily, destroying the various ships, cannons, fireballs, and other obstacles builds up the player's boost. Once the boost becomes full, the ship can boost around the map. While using boost the ship is invulnerable, and also destroys anything that it touches.

Throughout the matches cyber humans are released from cages. If you can manage to catch them, and get them to their safe zones, your ship receives upgraded such as increased weapon damage and multiple streams of bullets. Boss fights immediately follow each stage. They are staggering yet immensely fun at the same time

The game is one of the fastest paced arcade style games in recent memory. The chaos that occurs throughout the matches are absolute mayhem. There is so much to keep track of at the same time, yet it never feels out of reach. Resogun strikes a perfect balance of challenge and reward like the feelings evoked from the Dark Soul series. It's all fantastically fun and has one of the most enjoyable Platinum trophies to strive for.
