Pikachu's infamy dates back to the N64 classic, but hasn't lost its luster over the years. Professional SSB player Isai brought the competitive community to its knees with his stunning performance with Pokémon's icon, trouncing nearly every contender with unstoppable aerial combos, best described as a "zero-to-dead" strategy. Everyone's favorite electric mouse found new balance with the release of Melee, which carried into Brawl, but is poised to make a comeback with the variable attacks of the upcoming installment. Players are sure to find a sweet spot between timing and damage on his classic tail uppercuts and quick horizontal jabs, which could spell disaster for the chances of other characters. Fortunately, Nintendo has had well over a decade to learn from the mistake that the original Pikachu build so clearly was, hence his lower ranking here.
