10 Rarest Sega Mega Drive & Genesis Games Ever

4. Mega Man: The Wily Wars

Another game released for the innovative Sega Channel, and the only outing for the robotic blue superhero on the Mega Drive, Wily Wars was essentially a remake of the first three Mega Man games spliced into a single story. The graphics, music, and animations were updated from the original Nintendo versions to reflect the 16-bit power of the Mega Drive. The gameplay's a bit less responsive than in the NES originals, but this is undoubtedly the best-looking rendition of the original Mega Man trilogy. When you completed the first three Mega Man games in Wily Wars, you also unlock a Mega Drive-exclusive new chapter called Wily Tower, where you fight a bunch of bosses called the 'Genesis Unit' (see what they did there?). Wily Wars had a troubled development, and in the end didn't get a physical cartridge release in the US. It did, however, get a small print run in Europe and Japan, and can be picked up for around $100.
