Video games have so much to offer, from loveable characters, badass music and crazy level design, there is always something to look at and appreciate.

One aspect that gets us hyped is the ability to customize what our chosen character is wearing. This can be a form of self-expression or maybe wanting said character to look absolutely badass. Or you could be like me, and you just really want to see Chris Redfield in the most revealing costume there is.

Not all attires are readily available from the start, though.

Some require a lot of leg work to unlock, making them relatively unheard of over time, or never being seen by a lot of players in the first place. In this list, we are going to be looking at 10 of the rarest costumes in video games. Have you unlocked any of these costumes? Were they worth the effort you had to go through?

Please be aware there may be spoilers ahead for the video games mentioned.

10. Golden Quiet - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was released back in 2015, not long after the teaser MGSV: Ground Zeroes launched onto consoles in 2014.

Quiet, the mute companion of MGSV has quite the wide array of outfits to unlock. From being coated in silver paint to getting geared up in all tactical wear, Quiet has an outfit for every occasion.

Long time fans of Hideo Kojima will be aware that he is a huge fan of the James Bond films, so naturally one of the more slippery outfits to get comes in the form of a nod to the movie, Goldfinger.

The outfit involves Quiet being painted head to toe in gold, very reminiscent of a particular scene. You will have to max out Quiet's "Bond" to 100% to get this costume, which is going to take some time to achieve.

You'll be taking Quiet with you on the vast majority of the missions to get that bond up, something a lot of players may not manage to do in their initial playthrough. On top of the bond being maxed out, you will also need to pay 570,000 currency and have an R&D level of 22.
