The introduction of intergalactic economics in the Atlas Rising update has provided another layer to No Man’s Sky allowing players to take a different approach to income earning in this expansive game. No longer is mind-numbing, simplistic mining your only source to earn income.

Now each system is assigned one of seven types of economy. Each of these economies supply market commodities for other systems and pay handsomely for commodities that their system lacks.

For instance, a Scientific system supplies market commodities that a Trading system would desire, and that same Scientific system will be in need of commodities found in Advanced Materials systems.
