10 Reasons It Totally Sucked To Be A Gamer In 2013

8. Android Consoles

This explosion of Android Consoles is very much reminiscent of the LCD Tiger consoles from the 90s. They seem like a smart investment next to three to four hundred pound consoles, but they're cheap for a reason; they are inefficacious. Take the OUYA for example: it runs incredibly poorly because of its embarrassingly out-of-date hardware. It does boast over two hundred games, but the vast majority of them are older titles that can be found on most consoles. Or take the M.O.J.O, which looks like an even cheaper version of the OUYA because its interface looks awful. There is no touchscreen so playing touchscreen games €“ which most Android games are €“ with a controller or mouse seems very rigid. And, the most significant point of all, because these games are designed for mobile devices €“ meaning, 'on-the-go gaming' €“ the titles aren't trying to hold the players attention like a console title would. So, you'll get bored to tears and wish you weren't so tight and forked out the money for a real console.
