10 Reasons Xbox Series X Has ALREADY Won The Next Generation War Over PS5
10. Microsoft's Studio Spending Spree
Though Bethesda is the most prominent purchase (that I'll return to later), Microsoft has been busy buying up studios over the last few years, with the sort of spendthrift gusto of someone logging onto Amazon at 2am after innumerable pints.
The one weakness consistently levied against Microsoft is their comparative lack of big exclusives, but with the likes of Obsidian and now potentially Bungie under the Microsoft umbrella, it looks like that problem is going to be one of past generations, not this one.
Obsidian's Avowed is just one major exclusive RPG coming to the new systems, and you would be a fool to think that more heavyweight titles aren't coming to the Xbox family soon, to the growing chagrin of Sony and committed PS5 owners. While the rumoured attempt to acquire Bungie remains unconfirmed, it isn't a surprising acquisition considering the mutual history. And we mustn't forget Playground Games producing not only Forza series entries but the new Fable reboot as well.
On top of all that, the growing roster of smaller studios producing more indie experiences for Xbox and PC ensures a steady stream of content both for sale on the store and coming to the ever enticing Game Pass (more on that later).
