10 Secret Video Game Endings Unlocked By Dying

10. Ultimate Sacrifice - Dragon Age: Origins

Dragon Age: Origins' story is a pretty harsh experience. Your Grey Warden needs to make plenty of sacrifices in order to save Thedas, and this actually extends to the game's finale.

Without spoiling too much, in the final defense against the Blight, the Grey Wardens need to sacrifice one of their own in order to absorb the soul of the Archdemon that controls the Darkspawn horde.

The choice of who takes the fall is up to you, and there is even a way to save everyone, but if you do choose to play the role of a tragic hero yourself, there is an interesting twist at the end.

Instead of going straight to credits after your sacrifice, the game will actually allow you to play through the celebration party epilogue like in all the other endings.

However, because your character is dead, you get to play from the perspective of one of your living companions!

The game has only a couple of scenes where you get to control your companions like this, so it's a pretty unique experience.

Not only that, you also get to hear what your other companions have to say about you and your noble sacrifice, so it's definitely worth doing at least once.
