2. Your Horse Can Solve The Mystery For You - The Witcher 3

Geralt of Rivia is basically like a fantasy mutant version of Sherlock Holmes in The Witcher 3. Pretty much every single mission he gets revolves around solving mysteries, but did you know there is one instance in which someone can solve a case for him?

More specifically, the case can be closed by none other than his trusty steed, Roach!

In the quest "Equine Phantoms," Geralt has to put a dangerous horse spirit to rest by unveiling the secrets behind its death. Normally, this is accomplished by drinking a special brew that allows the witcher to speak to his horse and then teaming up together to look for clues.

However, the quest can be secretly resolved by, well, not doing anything at all! If you don't drink the brew and then wait a few days, the game will suddenly inform you that the quest has been finished.

When you check the journal description, it reveals that while Geralt was slacking off, Roach actually looked into the ghost matter on her own, and she actually managed to solve the entire mystery by herself.
