10. The Revenge Of Shinobi

A challenging side-scrolling game, Revenge of Shinobi had a lot going for it. The game is a classic revenge tale that allows players to embody a ninja, take down enemies and perform some impressive acrobatics. The end result was a really solid game that had some very interesting characters.

Godzilla, Batman and Sylvester Stallone all appear in this game. Unfortunately, this meant that different iterations of the game had to be released in order to avoid legal action.

However, it does leave the question of how good a licensed pop culture mash-up with ninja gameplay would be. It could be a disaster, but it could also be an unconventional triumph.

This game would be the hardest to get developed on this list but that does not mean it's not worth the effort. It would be intriguing to see how a modern take on the fun gameplay would pan out.

Surely a game that lets you be a ninja that defeats both Batman and Godzilla will attract an audience?
