10 SEGA Games That Need A Remake

7. Shining Force 2

Tactical combat and epic stories - the Shining Force series had it all, unfortunately, it has been forgotten about amidst more recent RPGs. Shining Force 2 allowed players to roam around the world and abandon a restrictive chapter system. The end result is a quality RPG.

The game focuses on overcoming evil and helping the royal family. Alongside this premise is the ability to pick up allies and go to war with fearsome enemies.

A good story, fun mechanics and an open world means that Shining Force 2 is one of the best tactical RPG's SEGA ever made. Although apparently the title was underfunded and had a turbulent production process.

This game needs a remake because it was truly an original and experiencing this title outside of the 16-bit restrictions would be amazing. Not only could players enjoy an open-world but its tactical elements could really come to life with new technology.

Shining Force 2 is long overdue a comeback.
