10 Settings Assassin's Creed Could Go To Next

2. English Civil War

As stated in a previous entry, there is a tonne of great English history that could be further explored. The English Civil War, which saw a mass conflict between the Royalists and the Parliamentarians, would be one such example of another volatile time that Ubisoft could adopt.

The conflict was a battle between the people and the royal family, but also possessed a strong religious influence that would go on to stifle the British people after its culmination, in the form of Puritanism. There is, therefore, a lot of scope for an Assassin's Creed title that deals with zealots, violence and aristocracy.

Again, there are a lot of names that could make appearances such as Oliver Cromwell, King Charles the First and even Guy Fawkes - if historical liberties were taken. The forces within the English Civil War - those being the Roundheads and the cavaliers - both had unique looks and motives, and as such the game could look fantastic and possess a strong narrative.

This is a period of history not seen too often in gaming, and Assassin's Creed would be the perfect avenue to bring it to life.
