10 Simulator Games You Won't Believe Exist

8. Garbage Truck Simulator

While Garbage Truck Simulator largely captures the intricacies of the garbage-collection process well - or so I'm told - it leaves out some of my most memorable experiences with dust-bin men; that is, them turning up hours late, not even turning up at all, or mucking up the wildly complicated process and leaving half my rubbish strewn across my road. In this sim, you're able to switch between the garbage truck driver and the garbage truck man, driving to each house, collecting the bin, and them emptying it into your truck; rinse and repeat ad nauseum, and you have the mind-boggling mechanics of this game down pat. Surprisingly, it makes for a dull, boring slog of a game, one entirely unaided by the terrible graphics, which paint every neighbourhood as pretty much the same, while character animations are awkwardly stilted, at least somewhat getting at the existential drudgery of performing such a task daily. This is one ugly game about an ugly task that really doesn't have much inherent value whatsoever.
