We've come to expect certain things in our special edition releases, so no one would have moaned if Rockstar Games had shovelled a couple of unique lithograph prints and a cloth map of Liberty City in a fancy box. But as is Rockstar's style, they exceeded expectations with the GTA IV Special Edition, throwing in a few unique, very apt items to make this pricey package feel like money well spent. One of the game's climatic moments has your character ensnared in a savage heist-gone-bad scenario, desperately trying to blast a path through a police siege with a huge duffel bag stuffed with cash slung over one shoulder. It's an unforgettable sequence in the game, which makes the decision to include a black Rockstar-embroidered duffel bag in the Special Edition more fitting than you might first realise when unboxing the package. A lockable safety deposit box with the GTA IV logo pressed into the metal is equally suited to the theme of the game, and makes for a neat place to store the rest of the merchandise included.
