10 Star Trek Holodeck Programs We Want To Experience

2. Maquis Vs. Voyager

There's nothing like casually stunning and capturing your friends to unwind after a hard day's work.

When B'Elanna Torres discovers a holoprogram buried on the auxiliary database in Worst Case Scenario, half the crew get hooked on it. Honestly, it's not hard to see why. In what we like to call 'Voyager: The Mutiny', Chakotay and his fellow Maquis crewmembers seize control of the ship, imprisoning anyone who remains loyal to Janeway.

It would be a dream come true, playing as Maquis or Starfleet to our heart's content. We'd definitely want multiple playthroughs of this one. We'd need at least one renegade run, playing rebel at Chakotay's side. But we'd also want to eventually find a way to save Janeway and retake the ship.

And perhaps there's a touch of harmless catharsis at play. After all, it must be a little satisfying, stunning the holo-version of that one teammate who's been annoying you all week. All we're saying is that B'Elanna seems a little too eager to shoot Harry Kim in her playthrough.

Just don't get your hopes up for a secret ending if you play it enough times. The holoprogram turns out to be nothing but a security exercise that Tuvok wrote, just in case the ex-Maquis members got a bit uppity. He abandoned it when Chakotay's crew started to integrate well (a little too well, too quickly if you ask some Voyager fans), so there's no ending. Still, we reckon that could be easily fixed with a patch or two.

We'd also like a patch that allows us to keep a harmless version of Seska around. She was gone far too soon.
