2. Kimahri Ronso - Final Fantasy X

As awesome as Kimahri Ronso's character design might be, as a party member there's little denying that he stinks.

Even if you can forgive the fact that he doesn't have much of a character through-line for fans to latch onto and is a whole lot more boring than he looks, he's also shockingly ineffectual as a combatant in your party.

His sphere grid placement effectively makes him a jack of all trades for all but the most patient and committed of players, which beyond being completely dull, doesn't have a whole lot of utility compared to the specialised potential of the game's other characters.

Everyone else in the party generally feels like they've got a defined role, but Kimahri just feels like an odd one out - an afterthought thrown in because Square Enix had some spare time.
