10 Things Only Star Wars Battlefront 2 Fans Will Understand
10. The Importance Of The Bomber Class
It is perhaps fair to suggest that, when choosing a ship in Starfighter Assault mode, or upon accruing enough points in battle to unlock such a vehicle, most casual BFII players will choose the Fighter class first and Interceptor second.
These are the sexy ships: from the Naboo N-1, the ARC-170, to the Droid Tri-Fighter and, of course, classic X-Wing.
The Bomber class, however - much like Quadinaros in Episode I Racer - always gets picked last; slow and unwieldy as it can be to wrestle with.
Experienced players, however, know that the Bomber is very much the secret weapon in your arsenal.
It may be slow at first, but its base speed can be increased with the application of the "Engine Upgrade" star card, closing the gap somewhat on the other classes.
In terms of defensive capabilities, the Bomber is the most resistant to incoming fire, and its already impressive stats can be boosted further with the "Reinforced Hull" card.
Where it really shines, though, is in objective play, as the Bomber's high damage output and strong defences make it an absolute must for objective-based modes.
She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts.
