8. Little To No Microtransactions

Okay, so as much as everyone would love to see Skate 4 be completely free of additional paid content it's unfortunately just never going to happen. Paid DLC is just the nature of the beast these days, and while previous Skate instalments allowed players to cough up some change for extra content, you'd have to imagine that Skate 4 will get the microtransaction treatment given how prevalent it has become in gaming in the previous decade.

Giving players the option to purchase DLC is one thing, but many rightly fear that Skate 4 could become a nightmarish bastardised version of the classic titles, riddled with microtransactions and making players forced to trawl through endless Skate Crates™ in order to build up their dream setup.

There's nothing wrong with expecting players to pay for an extra skatepark or new characters if that's what they want to do, the issue is whether the game will be completely infested with pay-to-win mechanics from release day.

We can only hope not...
