4. Fighting Ganon Immediately - The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

Nintendo

One of the most startling things about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the fact that, once you've gotten through the prologue sequence, the game literally throws up your ultimate objective right away - "destroy Ganon."

Of course, Nintendo didn't actually expect players to do it right away and miss out on dozens if not hundreds of hours of content, but for those brave or stupid enough, they could indeed run to Hyrule Castle and take on Ganon immediately. Or try to, at least.

Aside from depriving yourself of the incredible overall experience, it naturally makes the final boss fight exponentially more difficult, to go in with minimal heart containers, weapons, clothes, and other resources that would otherwise be acquired over the course of a full playthrough.

But it's far from impossible, and to date the world record for "beating" the game is an hilarious 27.5 minutes.
