Every once in a while, a TV show inspires manufacturers to make every conceivable piece of merchandise possible in order to capitalise on its success to the fullest extent. Sadly, this never ending stream of merch almost always leads to a rushed video game adaptation that fails to satisfy a single player.
Don’t get me wrong: there have been some truly superb video game tie-ins for TV shows. Telltale's Walking Dead game, whilst technically based off the comic, became a relevant concept thanks to the television series, and is arguably even better than AMC's survival serial.
