2. Star Wars Trilogy Arcade
Hands up if you missed this, as I’m certain it passed far more people by than those who played. Simply because you had to venture to an arcade to play Star Wars Arcade Trilogy, it limited its exposure to a fraction of all Star Wars fans.
Treading over the well worn ground of events from the original Trilogy, from the trench run and the battle of Hoth (which is a way of passage for many Star Wars games), we even got climatic events on and above the Forest Moon of Endor.
Although this might be designed to hoover up pound coins, Arcade Trilogy is true arcade shooting at some of its finest, with genuinely testing sections on foot against an AT-ST and innovative lightsaber action against Boba Fee and Darth Vader.
Complete with a soundtrack and those beloved sound effect this was the complete Star Wars arcade package that deserves a home release so it can get in more peoples hands.
