9. Sonic "Kills Himself" - Sonic CD
In addition to being one of the best ever Sonic games, Sonic CD features a neat little secret for players who forget that the pause button exists.
Leave Sonic idle for three minutes on any stage and he'll decide he's had enough, telling the player, "I'm outta here", and leaping off the stage, seemingly to his death.
Some fans have argued that Sonic doesn't in fact kill himself and he's actually simply quitting the game out of impatience, but from the player's perspective, he jumps off the stage - a typical death condition in Sonic games - and a Game Over screen appears, no matter how many lives you have. Honestly, how else are you supposed to take it?
Either way, it's a fun little troll for anyone who steps away from the game to answer the phone or take a leak while forgetting to pause, only to be greeted by Sonic noping out upon their return.
