10. Portals - Just Cause 3

Fast travel is more of an easter egg than an actual mechanic in Just Cause 3, but that only makes it better. As a reference to the science-fiction classic Stargate, the game features three series-accurate portals located on three different edges of the map.

The reference is already pretty neat in and of itself, but what elevates this easter egg to a whole new level is the fact that it also has a practical side.

The panels next to the portals are interactible, and if you know the correct code, 143421, you can actually activate them to instantly teleport from one side of the map to another!

Since there are no actual forms of fast travel in Just Cause 3 (grappling hooks and parachutes excluded), the teleporters can be incredibly useful, on top of being pretty to look at.

If you don't feel like moving across the entire map, you can simply pop into your fancy Stargate teleporter, punch some numbers, and be where you need to be in seconds.

It's a perfect mode of transportation, even if you aren't a huge Stargate fan, or you don't like jumping into strange glowing sci-fi holes in general.
